Sustainability
Environmental concerns and sustainable actions are integrated into every area of our value chain. We operate in Argentina, Namibia, and South Africa exclusively through licensed quotas, ensuring proper management of fishing grounds and long-term marine resource sustainability.
Actions
Fleet Renewal
We are committed to continuously renewing our fleet across all fishing zones where we operate. Older vessels are replaced by more efficient ships to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Solar Energy Production
Two photovoltaic plants have been deployed in Namibia and Vigo, already producing over 1,500 MWh of solar energy annually.
Water Management
Both consumption and extraction are managed with the utmost care.
We are shareholders in Rawson Ambiental S.A., a company responsible for the proper management of effluents from our shrimp processing plant in Rawson (Argentina).
Development of Sustainable Materials
Collaboration with the EU-funded Sealive project, which aims to reduce marine ecosystem pollution through advanced bioplastics solutions, such as biodegradable fishing nets, which are already being used on one of our new shrimp trawlers.

Our sustainability strategy results from the commitment of over 3,500 employees who are part of the IBERCONSA family. People are our fundamental value and most cherished asset, ensuring they have the safest working environment while contributing to the development of their local communities in Argentina, Namibia, South Africa, and Spain.

Cadilu Fishing, part of the Iberconsa group, sponsors sports education clinics for over 1,000 children in local communities in Namibia.
