Fishing

Leaders in Argentine Hake and Argentine Wild Shrimp

Operating in some of the world’s largest fishing grounds –Argentina, Namibia and South Africa– IBERCONSA and their associates have very sizeable quotas in Cape hake and Argentine hake, as well as licenses in Argentine red shrimp and illex squid.

Our fleet also catches other species that are very highly valued in the market, such as monkfish, kingklip or South African squid.

The fleet is comprised of factory freezer vessels, shrimp trawlers, squid jiggers, and wet fish trawlers, all of them equipped with state-of-the-art technology and efficient onboard factories, both in frozen and wet fish, which allows us to produce 80,000 tons of seafood per year.

Processing

IBERCONSA operates five processing plants in Namibia, South Africa, Argentina and Spain. We reprocess seafood in these plants as well as prepare several packaging formats to adapt to our customer needs.
