We reduce CO2 emissions thanks to the installation of more than 1,200 solar panels

The energy bill will be lowered by more than 11%.

Our commitment to sustainability and environment will be reinforced with a new solar roof that is already being installed at IBERCONSA SEAFOOD PROCESSING, our new factory in Bouzas (Vigo). EDF Solar is the firm responsible for the project. The installation, made of 1,211 modules, will have an annual, clean and non-polluting energy production of 773,090 kWh.

The works began in May and will end in July 2019. This new system will allow us to reduce the emission of almost 263 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, and represents our contribution for the energy transition and the fight against climate change.

Self-consumption is the most effective energy saving and efficiency alternative for the refrigeration sector. Frozen Food companies have very high electricity costs due to the operation of the machinery that must keep the cold and that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. With the new solar roof we will achieve a total saving of 11.65% in the electricity bill. In addition, the return on investment, according to estimated production, stands at just over four years.
