After a two-year break, the Conxemar Fair has been held again in Vigo in 2021.


As in previous years, Iberconsa has attended, after almost two years without being held, the well-known Conxemar Frozen Seafood Products Fair, which this year celebrated its XXIII edition in Vigo.


After the complicated situation caused by Covid-19, the annual fairs and events are gradually being resumed, in an attempt to recover the usual rhythm.  Conxemar was the sector’s first major event after the pandemic and this feeling of reuniting the industry was felt in the halls of the IFEVI, attracting more than 22,000 visitors from up to 95 different countries, with the most frequent attendees coming from Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and the Netherlands.


The number of participating companies was also very abundant, the total number of exhibitors this year 2021 was 486, from 32 different countries, as this fair is consolidated among the four most important in the world and is very interesting for professionals in the processing sector.


The exhibition area covered by Conxemar this year was 31,500 m2, which was very necessary to successfully comply with the sanitary restrictions still in force due to Covid-19. This year Iberconsa had a total of 100 m2 of space located in zone D of the exhibition site, where it had a large two-storey stand, combining neutral colours such as white with touches of light wood and, of course, details in blue representing the colour of our brand.


Despite the difficult situation caused by the global pandemic, we were lucky to have many of our employees from other subsidiaries, such as our colleagues from Argentina.


Our trusted catering service, the Michelin-starred restaurant Maruja Limón in Vigo, treated us to a selection of dishes prepared by Rafael Centeno with our star products, wild red shrimp and hake among others.


We would like to thank Conxemar for their efforts to make this year’s fair a success in a context full of uncertainties.
